Ruth Stockton passed from this life on October 14, 2021. She was born on September 6, 1928, in Lawton, Oklahoma to Elihu B. and Maye Rowell Johnson.

She was married to Albert Fowler in 1947 and moved to Hutchinson from Hartselle, Alabama with their three oldest children in the early 1950's.  She was a long-time employee of the City of Hutchinson.

She was married to Bert Stockton in 1972 until his death in 2012. She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Ouida Johnson, Beverly Horse and Dolores Sanmann and grandson Michael Schwartzkopf.

Mourning her loss is her brother Thomas Johnson, her children Barbara (Darrell) Woelk, Kimberly (John) Carraway, Kenneth Fowler and Anita (Jon) Schwartzkopf.  She leaves behind her grandchildren Matthew Woelk, Dustin Slater, Natalie Kempton, Travis Fowler, Shawn Fowler, Angela Reimer, Kyle Schwartzkopf and Sara Schwartzkopf along with many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Services and burial will be held at Mt. Scott Indian Cemetery outside of Lawton, Oklahoma. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice in Ruth's memory, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
