RuthAnn Sidebottom, 78, arrived at her destination on life's journey to be in paradise with her Jesus, August 31, 2022.  She was born March 24, 1944, in Hutchinson, KS, to George E. Mitchell and Hazel (Troop) Mitchell.

RuthAnn was a 1962 graduate of Hutchinson High School, Hutchinson, KS.  She also graduated from St. Margaret's Hospital School of Nursing.  RuthAnn was an Xray Technician and Certified Mammographer, working in various hospitals, clinics, and doctor offices.

On August 30, 1969, she married Gaylord Sidebottom, in Dodge City, KS.  They shared over 37 years of marriage, prior to his death on October 21, 2006.

RuthAnn is survived by:  her daughter, Gay Lee (Ronald) Johnson of Beeler, KS; sister, Millie Schrock of Hutchinson, KS; grandchildren, Zane (Jennifer) Johnson, Jacob (Kayla) Johnson, and Clayton (Alex) Johnson; five great-grandchildren; nephews, Jeff (Kathy) Schrock and Tim (Lisa) Schrock; and niece, Teresa Schrock.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; stepfather, Forrest Foster; stepmother, Margaret Mitchell; husband; sons, Derrick Glenn and Tim Sidebottom; grandson, Dustin Johnson; brother, Eddie F. Mitchell; and brother-in-law, John Schrock.

Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, KS. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Cancer Council of Reno County or Journey Mennonite Church, South Hutchinson, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
