S. Mildred Snyder, 95, died Feb. 23, 2007, at Mennonite Manor, South Hutchinson.
She was born Sept. 9, 1911, in South Hutchinson, the daughter of Claude A. and Nellie B. Shultz Perry. She graduated from Hutchinson High School. A lifetime Reno County resident, she was a retired machinist from Cessna Fluid Products.
She belonged to South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, R.S.V.P. Advisory Board, AARP, United Methodist Women, and the Hayes E.H.U. and Hayes Hustlers 4-H Leader, both of Sylvia.
On Oct. 6, 1928, she married Floyd E. Snyder in South Hutchinson. He died March 7, 1974.
Survivors include: a son, Bob and wife, Judy, South Hutchinson; a daughter, Betty Miller and husband, Bud, Sylvia; a sister, Evelyn Graham, Hutchinson; a son-in-law, Gene Samms, Hutchinson; seven grandchildren, Jill Newell and husband, Lawrence, Todd Miller and wife, NorvaLee, Brad Miller and wife, Marti, Michael Samms and wife, Christine, Darla Mather, Russ Snyder and wife, Jill, and Ricky Snyder; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Samms; two brothers, Floyd and Jack Perry; and a grandson, Scotty Miller.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, with The Rev. Richard Zimmerman, and Chaplain Melvin Walton presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Peace Creek Cemetery, Stafford County.
