Sally Lee Beltz, 86, died September 9, 2023, at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson.  She was born August 4, 1937, in Greensburg, to George and Margie (Smith) Barney.

Sally graduated from Greensburg High School in 1955.  She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 7 years, owned and operated Beltz Garage with Jim, Sr., before retiring from Dillard's as a sales clerk in the children's department. Sally had a gift in helping others, even strangers.  She was a member of First Christian Church, Hutchinson.

Sally married Jimmie Lloyd Beltz, Sr. November 1965, in Hutchinson.  They raised three children, and remained friendly, even after they were no longer married.

Sally is survived by: children Vena Flax (Doug) of Aurora, CO; Larry Beltz (Marquette) of South Hutchinson and daughter in-law, JuliAnna Zimmerman of Wichita; granddaughter, Samantha Beltz; brother, Bob Barney (Linda) of Greensburg; and granddog, Max.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; brothers, Charles Barney and Chet Barney; sister, Ilene Hanley; son, Jimmie Beltz, Jr. and Jimmie Beltz, Sr. father of Vena, Jimmie Jr. and Larry.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Elliott Chapel.  Friends may sign her book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. Cremation has taken place.
