Obituary

PRETTY PRAIRIE - The Lord called Sam Krehbiel home May 2, 2009. He was born April 21, 1929, to David J. and Anna Graber Krehbiel in Reno County.

He graduated from Castleton High School and took Animal courses from Kansas State.

He was owner and operator of SK RANCH being in the cattle business all of his life. He was a member of the First Mennonite Church, American Hereford Association, American Semmital Association, Reno County Cattlemen's Association and Gideon's.

On September 6, 1953, he married Florene Schrag at the First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie. She survives.

Also surviving is son, Kim David Krehbiel and wife Pam, Pratt, daughters, Debbie Siebert and husband Larry, and Pat Cramton and husband Gary, all of Pretty Prairie; brothers, Ralph L., and Jesse D. Krehbiel; grandchildren, Leslie and Clark Siebert, Clint and Kerry Cramton, Christy and Corey Wendler, Carmen and Andy Clark, Carly Cramton, Melissa and Ty Rebel, and David and Bryce Krehbiel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Victor, and in-laws Herman and Viola Schrag.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie with Pastor Lester Zook, Chaplain Bob Phipps, and daughter Pat Cramton presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday with family to receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Pretty Prairie Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County, or Prairie Sunset Home, Pretty Prairie, both in care of the mortuary.
