Samuel Nelson Ashby, 91, passed away June 15, 2022, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS.  He was born October 22, 1930, in Los Angeles, CA, to Samuel Atkinson and Isobel (Nelson) Ashby.

On December 2, 1950, Samuel married Jo Ann Turnbow, in Las Vegas, NV.  They shared over 60 years of marriage prior to her death on October 28, 2011.

He is survived by:  his son, Samuel Scott Ashby and wife Cindy of Hutchinson, KS; grandson, Samuel Jeremy Ashby and wife Stephanie of Walton, KS; great-grandchildren, Heaven Celeste, Trey Anthony, and Samuel Calder Ashby; sister, Lydia Boyer of Sun City West, AZ; numerous nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.  Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501, is in charge of arrangements.
