Sandra Coffman Schenkel's Obituary
MESQUITE, Nev. - Sandra Coffman Schenkel, 75, of Mesquite, Nev., died Aug. 10, 2012, at the University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
She was born Nov. 24, 1936, in Hartford, Kan., the daughter of Allen and Louise Smith Coffman.
Sandra graduated from Emporia High School in 1954. Following school she worked for 18 years for TWA as an International Reservationist and then worked and retired from the State of Arizona, Department of Economic Security.
She married Calvin Schenkel. He died Sept. 4, 2001. Survivors include: sisters, Sherry Giffin-Solomon and her husband Terry of Mesquite, Nev.; nephew, Jeffrey Giffin of Dodge City; and grand-nieces, Kelsy and Courtney Giffin of Wichita. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother-in-law, Larry Giffin.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Sara Davis-Blodgett officiating.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
