Wyona Blevins, 88, died Sept. 21, 2015, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born March 10, 1927, In Osage County, Ark., to Thomas M. and Ethel (Wyatt) West.

She was a longtime resident of Hutchinson. Wyona retired from Hutchinson Regional Medical Center after 26 years as a CNA. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church and was a longtime member of the Ladies Bible study at Westside Baptist Church.

She married Almis Gordon. He died July 7, 1968. She later married Lewis David Blevins on June 26, 1976, in Hutchinson. He died in June of 2002. Survivors include: daughters, Connie Poloskey and husband Mike of Nashua, NH, and Judy Shafer and husband Norman of St. John; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Catterson of Stanton, Ky. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronnie A. Gordon; brothers, Lloyd and Loren West; and sisters, Cliffie Mann, Cleo Hooper and Elnora Evel.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at Westside Baptist Church, 400 W. 12th, Hutchinson, with Pastors Tim Adrian and Eldon Smith presiding. Burial will follow in Wildmead Cemetery, Nickerson. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
