Scott G. Leatherbury, 52, died July 12, 2015, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born February 13, 1963, in Fort Collins, Colo., to Donald and Janine (Willesen) Leatherbury.

Growing up, Scott enjoyed scouting, football, basketball, and track, setting many records. He was also an avid golfer and loved playing poker. Scott's most valued accomplishment was definitely his family.

On December 2, 1983, he married Ame Cheri Lucia in Hutchinson. She survives.

Other survivors include: son, Matthew Leatherbury and wife Stephanie, Lenexa; daughter, Morgan Leatherbury and fiance' Joseph Kassanavoid, Wichita; grandchildren, Cayd, Alyssa, Josie, Jace, and Jacie; mother, Janine Osborn and husband Bill, Hutchinson; sister, Sheri McCoy, Wichita; father-in-law, Michael Lucia and wife Sheila, Hutchinson; brothers-in-law, Shawn Lucia and wife Mary, Aaron Lucia and wife Melinda, all of Hutchinson; sisters-in-law, Stephanie Lucia, Michaela Beamer, both of Hutchinson, and Cora Lucia, Manhattan; uncle, Jim Leatherbury; aunt, Vicki Willesen, both of Hutchinson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, son, Cory Leatherbury, mother-in-law, Barbara Crossman, and a sister-in-law, Heather Coen.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Andy Addis presiding. Friends may sign the book Wednesday through Friday with the family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
