Shane Lee "Shanie" Stafford, 30, died April 30, 2015, at Hospice House. He was born Aug. 17, 1984, in Wichita, to Rick D. and Cathy Jean (Whitley) Stafford. He graduated from Hutchinson High School. Shane enjoyed music, dancing, watching TV, various activities at Disability Supports and loved his stuffed animals.

Survivors include: father, Rick D. Stafford of Lyons; mother, Cathy Miller and husband Chris of St. Joseph, Mo.; brothers, Brett Stafford and wife Amber of Hutchinson, and Shawn Stafford and wife Erica of Wichita; grandparents, Roscoe Stafford and wife Mary of Parsons, and Larry Whitley and wife Brooksie of Hutchinson; step-grandparents, Vern Miller and wife Paula of Wichita. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jeannie and Mike Hassler.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with Jimie-Wray Mead presiding. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, all at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shane Stafford Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
