Sharon K. Adams, 78, formerly of Nickerson, died November 11, 2025, surrounded by her family at Mennonite Friendship Communities. She was born September 24, 1947, to Verle and Katherine (Dirkson) Bishop.

Sharon worked as the bookkeeper and co-owner of Wes Adams Construction. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and enjoyed playing card games with her group of friends.  Sharon enjoyed going on cruises and loved taking her chances gambling, especially at the slot machines. Her favorite musical artist was Elvis Presley; she accumulated many Elvis memorabilia over the years. Sharon was feisty, strong-willed, and the backbone of her family.

On November 11, 1967, she married Wes Adams in Hutchinson. They shared nearly 57 years of marriage before his death on July 16, 2024.

Sharon is survived by: children, Sherrie (Kyle) McAllister of Arvada, CO, Darci (Rob) Jones of Nickerson, Treva (Garry) Bussard of Nickerson, Jamie (Melissa) Adams of Hutchinson, Kris (Ron) Schutkesting of Mountain Home, AR, and Kim Hebenstreit of Kansas City, MO; sisters, Luella Bishop of Hutchinson and Emily Kuntz of Nickerson; brother, Harold Scantlin of OK; 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Earl "Wes" Adams; sister, Sandra Scantlin; grandson, Timothy; and stepfather, Eugene "Gene" Scantlin.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd, Hutchinson, KS 67501. Friends may sign her book 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
