Sharon Lea Fowler, 78, died August 9, 2023, at Diversicare of Hutchinson.  She was born June 13, 1945, in Dodge City, to Carl and Eleanor Maree (Hink) Hickey.

Sharon worked for various companies.  Later in life, she received her Commercial Driver's License.  Sharon was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson.

On May 4, 1967, she married James William Fowler, in Dodge City.  He died May 22, 2013, after they shared 46 years of marriage.

Sharon is survived by:  daughter, Jodi Fowler of Hutchinson; son, Dr. Jim Fowler (Edwana) of North Dakota; grandchildren, Jessica Weiss (Brian Jr.) of Colorado and Anthony Wilkinson "J.R." (Megan) of Hutchinson; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by:  her brothers, Donald Hickey and Ronald Hickey; son, Monty Fowler; and grandson, Terry Fowler.

Private graveside service will take place at Fort Dodge Veterans' Cemetery, Dodge City. Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Cancer Council of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS  67501.
