WICHITA - Sharon R. "Sherry" Moran, 58, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at her parents' home in Hutchinson.

She was born July 26, 1954, in Daytona Beach, Fla., the daughter of Ernest and Joanne Hess Emery.

She was a graduate of Hutchinson High School, Hutchinson Community College School of Nursing and Friends University, Wichita. Sherry had been nurse at Wesley Medical Center for 30 years, retiring as Director of Nursing. In more recent years, Sherry enjoyed running her own business, volunteering with her church and spending many hours watching and supporting her children's school and athletic activities.

On June 18, 1983, she married Frederick L. Moran in Hutchinson. He survives.

Other survivors include: their children, Daniel Moran and Claudia Moran of Wichita; her parents of Hutchinson; two brothers, Ron (Cathy) of Hutchinson, James (Tanya) of Buhler; a brother-in-law, Tim Gregory of Springfield, Mo.; nieces and nephews, Andrea, Aaron (Morgan) and Joanna Gregory, Kyle (Emily), Katie (Aaron), Brad and Shannon Emery. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Gregory.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Pathway Church, 2001 N. Maize Road Wichita, with Pastor Ben Ford presiding. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at First Southern Baptist Church, 1201 E. 23rd, Hutchinson, with Reverend Roy Jaye officiating. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may sign her register book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
