Sharon L. Richardson, 90, of Hutchinson, died peacefully at her home on November 23, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born April 2, 1935, in Hutchinson to Charles and Kathryn (Follick) Hedger.
On April 5, 1953, she married John Richardson in Hutchinson. They shared nearly 48 years of marriage before his death on February 23, 2001.
Sharon was a devoted homemaker who dedicated herself to nurturing and caring for her loved ones. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren every chance she got. In her free time, Sharon found joy in the intricate and meticulous crafts of quilting and hand sewing.
Sharon is survived by: daughters, Kathy (Michael) Erhard and Julie Thompson, both of Hutchinson; siblings, Charles Hedger of California, Janice Heibert of Hutchinson, and Rick (Lynn) Hedger of Haven; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Richardson; six beloved grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her: parents; adored husband, John Richardson; sons, John and David Richardson; grandsons, Brian and Michael Richardson; and sister, Ellen Pieplow.
Private family services will take place.
