Sherman David Odom, 81, of Hutchinson, died July 1, 2023, at Diversicare of Sedgwick. He was born August 22, 1941, in Van Buren, AR, to Clifford and Nannie Bell (Smith) Odom.

Sherman was an avid hunter; he loved to take his dogs, Baby and Cookie, with him. Sherman especially enjoyed hunting deer in Arkansas. He spent time hiking, and camping. One of his favorite past times, was watching professional wrestling. Sherman liked to spend time with his family and working on his old truck.

In 1982, he married Joyce Mae Scarbrough, in Van Buren. They shared over 28 years of marriage before her death on June 18, 2010.

Sherman is survived by: children, Rhonda (Tony) Turnage, AR, Danny (Tammy) Odom, AR, Samantha (Johnny) Ayers, AR, Lillian 'Christy' Odom, WI; siblings, Benny (Betty Jo) Odom, Jerry Odom, and Norma McAllister, all of Van Buren.

He was preceded in death by; his parents; wife; brothers, Jene, Jim, Roy, Troy, and Rickie; and sister, Joyce.

Cremation has taken place.
