Sherri L. Kirmer-Stringer, 59, passed away Dec. 18, 2014, at her home. She was born Aug. 25, 1955, in Hutchinson, to Carl and Lila (Dickerson) Stelter.
Sherri graduated from Haven High School in 1973. She worked in the insurance and admissions office for Hutchinson Hospital. On Aug. 27, 2010, she married Tom Stringer in Las Vegas, Nev. He survives. Sherri loved to cook for her family and friends and enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by: husband, Tom Stringer of Hutchinson; daughter, Brooke (Clay) Walter of Andover; grandchildren, Paige Maxfield, Joseph and Benjamin Walter, all of Andover; parents, Carl and Lila Stelter of Haven; sisters, Carla (Monte) Long of South Hutchinson, Debbie (David) Craighead of Fulton, Mo., Kathie Hathaway of Ottawa; brother, Kurt (Dian) Stelter of Colwich.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at Laurel Cemetery, Haven. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with family present from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to American Diabetes Association, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
