Obituary

Sherri Lorree Nusser went to be with Jesus on June 21, 2013, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born on December 2, 1957, to Johnie Jo Baker and Frederick Franklin McLean in Hutchinson. At age 6 months she went to live with George and Naomi Friesen in Partridge. Sherri graduated from Buhler High School and became a phlebotomist for 35 years beginning at Hutch Hospital. She also worked at the Medical Center and PrairieStar. Sherri married Vernon Nusser on November 25, 1981. They later divorced.

She is survived by: companion and caregiver, Brian Strong; mother, Naomi Friesen, of Buhler; biological father, Fred (Jane) McLean, of Dallas, Oregon; children, Justin (Ashley M) Nusser, Colin (Ashley N) Nusser, and Taryn Nusser, all of Hutchinson; precious grandchildren, Nathen, Raven, Leighton, Hayden, and Khloe, to be born in September; sister, Marilyn (Vern) King; brother, Kelly (Karen) McLean, of Hutchinson; stepbrothers, Lynn, John, Marc, Jimmy; and half-brothers and sisters, Roxanne, Dee, Carla, Jolee, Gene and Robert.

She was preceded in death by father, George Friesen, biological mother, Johnie Jo Baker, and her grandparents.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Eldon Smith officiating. There will be a private family inurnment. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday, at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to Cancer Council of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, Ks 67501.
