Obituary

Sherry DeVaul, 54, died June 14, 2006, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

She was born May 14, 1952, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Eugene Richard and Joan Lee Gregg DeBerry. She graduated from Buhler High School. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, she was retired crank shaft grinder for Consolidated Manufacturing.

She belonged to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and was a Mary Kay representative.

On Feb. 10, 1984, she married Carlton "Duke" DeVaul in Hutchinson. He survives.

Other survivors include: two brothers, Stephen DeBerry, Hutchinson, and James DeBerry, Wichita; two sisters, Marylou Shea and Lorie Corey, both of Hutchinson; several nephews and nieces; and a great nephew.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jennifer Lee; and her parents.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, with Pastor Thomas B. Mendenhall presiding. The casket will remain closed. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
