Sherry Jean Teter, 70, of Buhler, died February 9, 2023, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita. She was born August 16, 1952, in Hutchinson, to Eldon I. and D. Gene (Gober) Beavers.

Sherry graduated from Buhler High School in 1971. She was primarily a housewife and mother. Sherry loved being outside and spending time with her grandchildren and grandpuppy, Apollo. She enjoyed attending the Kansas State Fair, auto races, and rodeos. Sherry was a member of Bethany Church of the Nazarene.

On June 12, 1971, she married Dennis W. Teter, at Bethany Church of the Nazarene. They shared 51 years of marriage. He survives.

Also surviving are: her children, Justin Teter of Hutchinson, Amy Jackson (Marshall) of Nickerson; grandchildren, Elizabeth Teter, Jasmyne Armstrong, Kaylee Teter, Draven Armstrong; great-granddaughter, Hazel Murray; brother, George Beavers (Susan) of Rogers, AR; special aunt, Irlene Dick of Hutchinson; and many extended family members.

Sherry was preceded in death by: her parents; a sister, Patti Mae Beavers; and a brother, Eldon "Buster" Beavers Jr.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Sherry's life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Bethany Church of the Nazarene, 408 N. Kent Rd., Hutchinson.

Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
