Sherry Wright's Obituary
Sherry L. Wright, 76, died Dec. 8, 2007, in the Thorne Care Center at Wesley Towers, Hutchinson.
She was born Oct. 10, 1931, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, the daughter of Bert A. and Pearl E. Campbell Martin. She graduated from Cheyenne (Wyo.) High School, in 1949. In 1953, she graduated from the University of Wyoming, receiving a degree in pharmacy. A longtime resident of Hutchinson, she was a pharmacist at OSCO Drug.
She belonged to Countryside Baptist Church, Hutchinson; Chi Omega Sorority; University of Wyoming Alumni Association; and Kansas Pharmacist Association.
On Sept. 16, 1955, she married Joseph W. "Joe" Wright in Cheyenne, Wyo. He died Jan. 4, 2007.
Survivors include: two sons, Richard Wright and wife, Shelly, Carrollton, Texas, Kenneth Wright and wife, Kimberly, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Linda Ezell, Arlington, Texas; and four grandchildren, Austin Wright, Michael Wright, Brock Wright and Leah Wright.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Countryside Baptist Church. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Sherley Cemetery, Sulphur Springs, Texas, with Pastors Dusty M. Cowell, Hutchinson, and Fred Lewis in Texas. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
