Sheryl Irene Lyon, 63, of Hutchinson, died February 26, 2023, at Hutchinson Health & Rehab. She was born May 1, 1959, in Hutchinson, to Alvin and Louise (Ford) Lyon.

Sheryl graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1977. She worked as kitchen staff over the years in Big M truck stop, Bonanza, Applebee's, and Presto in Great Bend before a work-related accident caused her to be disabled. Sheryl enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and word puzzles.

She is survived by: her children, Tanya Holguin (Ernesto) of Newton; Timothy Sanders of Parsons; 6 grandchildren and one grandchild on the way; mother, Louise Lyon of Hutchison; sisters, Betty Dilling (Don) of Pratt, Susan Ratzlaff (Tony) of Hutchinson; brothers, Bob Lyon and Dennis Lyon (Stacy) all of Hutchinson; and many extended family members.

Sheryl was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Lyon.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Countryside Baptist Church, 819 W. 30 ^th Ave., Hutchinson, with Pastor Ron Kyker officiating.

Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday thru Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
