Shirley 'Shirl' Ann Barrett (Robinson) was ushered into the waiting arms of Jesus, her Savior, December 18, 2017, at her home, surrounded by the ones she loved with all her heart. She wanted everyone to know, that while she loved her family and friends, she was looking forward to meeting Jesus face to face. Shirley was born June 3, 1941, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Jack and Derondia (Lamb) Robinson.
Shirley was a graduate of Clio High School of Clio, MI. She was a hard worker as a mail carrier, cashier, and took on numerous roles, including a cotton candy vendor at the Pine Ridge Amusement Park in Michigan. In 2004, she retired as a data entry technician for Pima County of Tucson, Arizona. She came to know her loving Savior as a teenager and became a faithful member of Casas Adobes Congregational Church in Tucson. Shirley was a woman who knew what it meant to sacrifice for family. She was a loving and compassionate woman whose life always pointed to Jesus. Her life was a beacon of light. She could start up a conversation with a stranger and always left a lasting impression on them. Shirley was a simple woman who simply loved Jesus and wanted everyone to know about her Savior. She enjoyed playing Pinochle, Bunco, Bingo, and had luncheons with numerous social groups. She never forgot the wonderful people who traveled with her to Israel to walk the same place where Jesus walked.
