BUHLER - Shirley Mae Brubaker, 67, died Feb. 18, 2007, at her home, Buhler.
She was born Feb. 6, 1940, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Delmar and Esther Jenkins Barkman. She was a 1958 graduate of Buhler High School. A resident of Buhler since 1974, moving from Hutchinson, she was a skip tracer for Transunion Credit Bureau for 25 years.
She belonged to Christian Church, Disciples of Christ.
On Sept. 11, 1964, she married T. Lee Brubaker in Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Brian and wife, Renee, Buhler; a daughter, Kim Shull and husband, Kevin, Buhler; her mother, Esther Barkman, Hutchinson; mother-in-law, Elizabeth "Betty" Brubaker, Hutchinson; a brother, Gary Barkman and wife, Linda, Wichita; two sisters, Yvonne Schwart and husband, Ray, Olathe, and Pamela Rouse and husband, Allen, Hutchinson; five grandsons, Shawn and Libby Knopp, Mike and Amber Knopp, Josh and Amber Knopp, Matthew and Stephen Brubaker; and a great-granddaughter, Jennifer Alexis "Jenny" Knopp.
She was preceded in death by her father, Delmar Barkman; and father-in-law, Floyd Brubaker.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Park Place Christian Church, 2600 North Adams, Hutchinson, with Pastor Kim Biery presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The family will be present to greet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.
