SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Shirley J. Stiggins, 54, died Aug. 23, 2008, at Mohawk Road and Highways 50/61. She was born April 14, 1954, to Dean and Beverly Branscom in Kingman.

She graduated from Haven High School in 1973 and had been a secretary for RCEC and Hutchinson Hospital.

She was a member of South Hutchinson United Methodist Church and a lifetime Hutchinson area resident.

In May of 1974, she married Brad Stiggins. Survivors include: son; Casey, Hutchinson, daughter; Jennifer and Brandon Shingleton, Hutchinson; parents, Dean and Beverly Branscom, Hutchinson; brother, Allen Branscom, South Hutchinson; sister, Kathy and Scott Hamilton, Turon; grandsons, Skylar and Clayton Shingleton; nieces, Allison Branscom, Katie Hamilton; and nephew, Conor Hamilton.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Virginia Gray and Roby and Alta Branscom.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at South Hutchinson United Methodist Church with Pastors Tim Ault-Duell, Ronnie Dykes and Dean Flanner presiding. Her casket will remain closed. Friends may sign the register 9 a.m. 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliot Mortuary, with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Turon Cemetery, Turon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Skylar and Clayton Shingleton Medical Fund in care of Dillon Credit Union.
