Shirley LaVonne Treaster, 82, passed away July 16, 2022, at Prairie Sunset Home, Pretty Prairie, KS.  She was born December 18, 1939, in Great Bend, KS, to Harold and Iva Jane (Southern) Waggoner.

Shirley was a graduate of Buhler High School, Buhler, KS.

On July 12, 1972, Shirley married Darrell LaVerne Treaster, in Hutchinson, KS.  They shared over 47 years of marriage, prior to his death on July 19, 2019.

She is survived by:  her children, Tommy Treaster of Baldwin City, KS, Mark (Mary) Treaster of Pretty Prairie, KS, and Cyndi (Sandy Jacquot) Treaster of Lecompton, KS; daughter-in-law, Toni Wood of Houston, TX; eight grandsons; and six great-grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by:  her parents; husband; son, Steven Treaster; and brother, Don Waggoner.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2022, at Grace Episcopal Church, 2 Hyde Park Drive, Hutchinson, KS, with Reverend Doctor J. Ted Blakley officiating.  Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery, Pretty Prairie, KS.  Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m.
