Stanley Mac Flora Jr., 67, died April 3, 2008, at Hutchinson Hospital. He was born Dec. 27, 1940, in Brazoria, Texas, the son of Stanley Mac and Viola Ruth Ewing Flora. A longtime resident of Hutchinson, he was a retired union pipefitter, and retired from the City of Hutchinson Park Department where he worked in plumbing and maintenance.

He belonged to the Independent Order of Foresters, Amvets Post No. 11, and the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local No. 363 and 441. He served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam.

On July 29, 1970, he married Josephine Anne "Josie" Walden in Ardmore, Okla. She died June 12, 2007.

Survivors include: three stepchildren, Charles Burch, Mary Ridge, and Cindy Darrow; a step-grandchild; a step-great-grandchild; and a son-in-law, Delmas Ridge.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Pastor Paul Danner presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Hutchinson Humane Society, in care of the mortuary.
