Stephen Edward Parsons, 72, of Hutchinson, died May 19, 2022, at his home. He was born July 24, 1949, in Harper, to John and Marceline (Burns) Parsons.
Steve served in the United States Marines Corps during the Vietnam War and received two purple hearts. He was a painter and general contractor. One of his favorite jobs was painting water towers. Steve was a member of the VFW in Kingman. One of his favorite past times was fishing with his grandchildren. Steve attended Crosspoint Church in Hutchinson.
He was married to Jeanne (Davis) Parsons and they shared 18 years together.
Steve is survived by: wife, Jeanne Parsons, Hutchinson; son, Aaron Parsons (Errica), Kingman; daughters, Dana Braxton (Derrick), Overland Park, Hayley Darling (Michael), Kingman; grandchildren, Emma, Grace and Jenna Parsons, Myles and Will Braxton, Lincoln and Archer Darling; step grandchildren, Carter and Benny Hammond, Braelynn and Freya Aich; siblings, Jean Anne Hageman, Linda Parsons, Stan Parsons, and Mark Parsons.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be from 10 am to 12 pm June 4, 2022, at VFW Hall, Kingman, Ks. Burial will take place in Harper Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Kingman Carnegie Library or New Beginnings: Greenscapers, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
