Stephen J. Warner, 68, of Hutchinson, died October 18, 2017, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born November 24, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Lloyd Duane and Elizabeth Ann (Dougherty) Warner.

Steve graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1967. He worked for over 24 years at the Hutchinson Clinic in the Cardio Pulmonary Department, where he served as the department head and supervisor. Steve had his own unique personality and enjoyed restoring anything and everything, collecting antiques, redoing old houses, and helping others. He was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church.

On June 3, 1978, he married Rebecca 'Becky' Stout in Hutchinson. They shared 39 years of marriage.

Steve is survived by: wife, Becky of Hutchinson; sons, James Warner (Darcy) of Shawnee, Nathan Warner (Lori) of Hutchinson; daughters, Katie Warner of Palo Alto, California, Addie Warner of Hutchinson; sisters, Susan Loper of Hutchinson, Yvonne Warner of Texas; grandchildren, Lane Warner, Blake Warner, Noah Warner, Tana Warner, Lindsay Warner; and father-in-law, Dr. James Stout.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place. Parish Rosary will be 7 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2017, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th, Hutchinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, October 23, 2017, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, officiated by Father Michael J. Maybrier. Inurnment will be in the Valley View Memorial Cemetery, Roxbury, Kansas.

Friends may sign his book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. Visitation with the family will follow the Rosary from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Christian Soup Kitchen, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N.
