Obituary

Steve A. Stanfill, 65, died July 17, 2015, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born Feb. 21, 1950, in Hutchinson, to Arthur and Cyria (Delrosario) Stanfill.

Steve graduated from Hutchinson Community College, Wichita State University, and from an accelerated class at the University of Kansas, graduating Suma Cum Laude, with an MBA in social work and business. He enjoyed spreading the word of Jesus, golfing and kayaking. Steve was an owner and operator of Stanfill Brother Wood Signs, America Media Systems and Motherboards Outdoor and Art Studio Signs in Hutchinson. He married Tammy Wilcox Aug. 13, 1985, in Inman. Steve is survived by his wife, Tammy Stanfill of Hutchinson; son, Aaron Stanfill and wife Karrie of Grand Junction, Colo.; daughters, Tessy Salisbury and husband Fred, Samantha Bell and husband Ryan, all of Hutchinson; brothers, Robert Stanfill of Olympia, Wash., Stan Stanfill of Jacksonville, Fla., Arthur Stanfill of Wichita; sister, Diana Wilson of Roswell, NM; brother-in-law, Steve Wilcox; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and best friend, Richard Farney.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Jimie-Wray Mead officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to Eastwood Church of Christ, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
