Steven Eugene Gruver, 66, died August 6, 2022, in his home. He was born December 22, 1955, in Hutchinson, to Kenneth and Clova (Andrews) Gruver.

Steve worked as an auto mechanic and a truck driver. He loved to work on cars, as well as racing cars and boats.

Steve is survived by: son, Kenny Gruver (Marlo), Lyons; daughter, Candace Doherty (Aaron), Wichita; brother, Stanley Gruver, Hutchinson; ex-wife, Carol McMillan, Hutchinson; ex-son-in-law, Grant Bowman, Hutchinson; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Steven Gruver Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
