Steven H. Steele, 66, died Oct. 11, 2010, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. He was born Feb. 27, 1944, in Hutchinson, the son of Wayne K. and Maxine E. Hubbard Steele. He was a 1962 graduate of Hutchinson High School and attended Hutchinson Junior College. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, he was a 41-year employee for Concrete Enterprises, where he was a plant manger.
He belonged to CrossPoint Church of Hutchinson. He served in the U.S. Army.

On Nov. 15, 1968, he married Billie Symonds in Miami, Okla. She survives. Other survivors include: son, Steve and wife Candacea, Ft. Collins, Colo.; daughters, Renia and husband Mike Clarkson, Hutchinson, Rebecca and husband Mike Wells, Fayetteville, Ark., Lora and husband Kelly Harper, Wichita; brother, David and wife Jane Steele, Jackson, Mich.; nine grandchildren, Lynn, Salena, Josh, Shellie, Audrey, Emily, Auhnna, Caitlyn and Alissa; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Andy Addis presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to the church, in care of the mortuary.
