Obituary

Sue Wagler, 62, died Sept. 3, 2010, at Hospice House, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Jan. 23, 1948, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Robert "Bob" and Charlotte Riggs McCue.

She was a lifetime resident of Hutchinson.
Sue enjoyed all things active, especially golf and tennis. She loved Christmas and looked forward each year to helping with the Toys for Tots program. She especially cherished spending time with her family and friends, and was known to spoil her grandkids. She will be greatly missed, but always loved.

On June 6, 1970, she married Bill Wagler. He survives.

Other survivors include: sons, Lucas, his wife Jennifer and their children, Carter, Presley and Holden, of Lenexa, Ks., and Logan, his wife Jennifer and their children, Brooklyn, Landon and Keaton, of Shawnee; daughter, MacKenzie Wagler, Kansas City, Mo.; her father, Bob McCue, Hutchinson; brothers, Gary McCue, Deron and his wife Debbie McCue, all of Hutchinson; sister, Kelle Stewart and husband Jim, Hutchinson; mother-in-law, Bettie J. Wagler, Hutchinson; and numerous aunt, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, and father-in-law, Al Wagler.

Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, at the First Presbyterian Church, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Amy Dame presiding. Cremation will take place. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The family will receive friends following the service in the church parlor.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Toys for Tots, or Hospice of Reno County, both in care of the funeral home.
