Susan C. Bossemeyer, 70, went peacefully on March 19, 2014, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born July 18, 1943, in Wichita, to Berl and Freda (Ebel) Lee.

Susan graduated from Wichita East High School. She was a very involved member of Park Place Christian Church. On Aug. 29, 1997, she married Dennis E. Bossemeyer in Hutchinson. He died Dec. 10, 2012. She is survived by her three sons from her previous marriage to Max Horton: Greg Horton of Kansas City, Kan., Jay Horton of Stillman Valley, Ill., and Scott Horton of Mt. Zion, Ill.; sister, Carol Gertz of Wichita; stepdaughters, Tallie Ewing and Steva Bossemeyer; and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Pastor Amy Foster officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to Park Place Christian Church in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
