Susan R. Durbin-Grindley, 58, of Hutchinson, died April 7, 2020, at Hutchinson Health and Rehab. She was born March 21, 1962, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Robert and Bonnie (Smith) Leslie.

Susan graduated from Central High School in 1980. She enjoyed journaling and painting.

On May 7, 2004, Susan married Charles R. Grindley, in Hutchinson. They shared 15 years together.

She is survived by: husband, Charles Grindley, daughter, Jennifer Rue (Jared), and four grandchildren, all of Hutchinson; father, Bob Leslie, brothers Rob, Chris, and Mike Leslie, all of Missouri; mother-in-law, Judy Waters, and sister-in-law, Paula Plum, both of Clearwater.

Susan is preceded in death by: mother, Bonnie Vallet; father-in-law, Jerry Waters; and brother-in-law, Michael Grindley.

Due to the current coronavirus situation, a celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2020, through Wednesday.
