Susan J. Higdon, 73, died March 17, 2008, at Hutchinson Hospital. She was born Sept. 22, 1934, in Holton, the daughter of John A. and Anna B. Metzler Brown.

A Hutchinson resident of seven years, she was a waitress and a homemaker.

Survivors include: sons, Everett and wife, Diana, Pratt, Jim and wife, Chris, Buhler, and Kenneth, La Crosse; brothers, Jim and Charles; sisters, Lee, Babe, Clara and Delpha; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Sue Higdon and brothers, John and Laurel.

Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the mortuary. Memorials to Victory in the Valley.
