Susan Lorraine (Passmore) Moore, 58, died November 28, 2009, at Hospice House of Reno County.

She was born August 12, 1951, in Iowa City, Iowa. She was a longtime Hutchinson resident.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2009, at First Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be at Elliott Mortuary Thursday, December 3, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in West Liberty, Iowa, at the Community Center on December 9, 2009, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

She was a graduate of West Liberty High School, West Liberty, Iowa. She also graduated from Kirkwood Community College of Iowa. She was employed by First Bank of Sterling and The Children's Emergency Shelter Home. She also belonged to a local sorority and was involved with many charitable events in Hutchinson.

On July 16, 1976, she married John Moore in Wichita.

Survivors include: son, Jason Moore, Wichita; daughter, Sonya Moore (Brett Allen), Colorado; mother, JoAnn Mason, of North Liberty, Iowa; father, Leighton (Alice) Passmore, West Liberty, Iowa; sisters, Shelley (Greg) Schudy, of North Liberty, Iowa, Sharon (Bill) Mitchell of West Branch, Iowa, Sharla (Stan) Moore of Fairfax, Iowa, and Stacey (Kerry) Passmore-Fry of Muscatine, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Sandy Reinhardt, and one nephew, Cameron Hadley.

Memorials may be made to The Children's Emergency Shelter Home in care of the mortuary.
