Susan B. 'Susie' Belt, 61, of Hutchinson, died Thursday, October 25, 2018, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born May 4, 1957, in Newton, to Richard O. and Velma (Bafus) Wilson.

Susie graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1975. She worked as a pediatric dental assistant and at Sacks 5th Ave. restaurant. Susie loved gardening, swimming, traveling, and KU basketball. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Susie was active in the Sky Ryders Drum & Bugle Corps.

On July 8, 1977, she married Richard Belt in Hutchinson. Susie is survived by: her husband of over 41 years, Richard of Hutchinson; daughter, Jennifer Peterman (Seth) of Goddard; sisters, Pam Emmerich, Sherry Nevius (Mike), Julie Cutting (Scott), Connie Delg (Bob); brother, Rich Wilson; grandchildren, Emmalee, Grace, Jonah, Sam, and Elliott; and mother-in-law, Evelyn Belt. She was preceded in death by: her parents; father-in-law, Raymond Belt; brother, John Wilson; and grandson, Noah.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Paul Thurston officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
