Suzanna E. McGuire, 69, of Hutchinson, died Dec. 8, 2012, at her home. She was born Feb. 10, 1943, in Hutchinson, the daughter of L.L. "Bill" and Dorothy E. Woods Falk.

A 1961 graduate of Hutchinson High School, she married Joseph W. McGuire on Dec. 28, 1971, in Hutchinson. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, taught art and was a drill team instructor at Trinity High School. She was an avid animal lover and served on the board of directors of Cause for Paws.

Survivors include: her husband, Joe; daughters, Pam Myers of Arlington, Kan., Mendy McGuire (Josh Saunders) of Lawrence, Kan., Kindra Whiteman (Jules R. Whiteman) of Hays, Kan.; a son, Trac Streeter; and a grandchild, Sienna Jo Saunders. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Parish rosary will be 7 p.m. Thursday at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, with Father Joseph Eckberg presiding. The family will receive friends at the church following the rosary. A private family burial will be held the following day. At 11 a.m. Saturday March 16, 2013, a Memorial Mass will be held at the Church of the Holy Cross. Celebrating Mass will be Father Joseph Eckberg and Father Ned Blick.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Cause for Paws, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
