Suzanne Bleger, 85, died July 26, 2012, at Wesley Towers, Hutchinson, KS. She was born Oct. 24, 1926, in Council Grove, KS, the only daughter of Walter and Hortense Watkins Law. Mrs. Bleger attended Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., in 1945, then transferred to Kansas State University, where she graduated in 1948.

She married Jack Bleger Oct. 17, 1948, in Lyons and they moved to Hutchinson the same year. He died Jan. 5, 2002.

Suzanne was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She volunteered for several local business and community organizations, including Hutchinson Hospital, the American Red Cross, Wesley Towers, First Presbyterian Church and Youth Friends.

Survivors include: one daughter, Deborah, of Detroit, Mich.; three sons, Steven, Joseph, and David, all of Hutchinson; one brother, Robert Law, of Garden City; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be Monday, July 30, 2012, 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Sherman, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Mike Herring officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church parlor. Friends may sign the book Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson; the casket will remain closed. Private family graveside services will be held at the Lyons Cemetery, Lyons, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Good Samaritan Fund at Wesley Towers, both in care of the mortuary.
