Sydnee Shea Hines, 35, passed away unexpectedly July 3, 2026, in Denver, Colorado. She was born March 14, 1991, in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Sydnee was a bright light who will be remembered mostly for her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and hard-headed stubbornness. She was a free spirit who chose to live life on her own terms with a nothing-can-stop-me attitude. Syd loved a good practical joke and was a master of puns. She often made comments purely for the shock value, delighting in the reactions they inspired. Syd was also a fearless thrill-seeker in every sense of the word.

Sydnee is survived by her: mother and step-father, Shelli and Tim Nisly; father and step-mother, J.P. and Shanna Hines; siblings, Brittany Warner (Blake), Karson Hawkinson (Tristan), Creyton Nisly, and Kaitlyn Hines; nephews, Dane and Dax Warner and Theo Hawkinson; maternal grandparents, Charles and Dana VanGotten; and an abundance of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her: paternal grandparents, Jerry P. Hines, Sr. and Al & Betty Gezelle; step-grandparents, Amos & Anne Nisly; and great-grandparents, William & Virginia Krepps.

Her book may be signed at Elliott Mortuary from 9am to 5 pm through Saturday.

Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. July 19, 2026, at Inspire Church, 4290 N. Monroe Street, Hutchinson, KS. Following the service, the family will receive visitors in the church foyer.
