Ted W. McCoy, 55, died Aug. 21, 2014, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born Oct. 18, 1958, in Hutchinson, the son of Everett Lee and Lyla Marie (Pitts) McCoy.

Ted was a 1977 graduate of Nickerson High School.

He is survived by: his brothers, Tom of Hutchinson, Robert of Texas and Michael of Washington, Kan.; sisters, Judy Gonzales of Hutchinson and Lynette Woods of Manhattan, Kan. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at Stafford Cemetery, Stafford, with Minister Bob Phipps officiating. His body will be cremated and friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
