Terry M. Fisher, 76, of Hutchinson, died May 31, 2024, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, surrounded by loved ones. He was born July 24, 1947, in Nashville, KS, to James D. and Mary A. (Vierthaler) Fisher.
Terry graduated from Nickerson High School in 1965 and later from McPherson College. Terry served in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1970 when he was honorably discharged. During his life, he worked at the City of Hutchinson and then in sales for Water Products, McPherson for over 20 years. Terry cherished his family; he loved spending time with them. He also enjoyed bowling, golfing, and playing softball. Terry was a member of the Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson. He was very active in his church, participating in RCIA and Adoration.
On November 30, 1966, he married Sharon K. Walters in Hutchinson. They shared over 57 years of marriage before his passing.
Terry is survived by: wife, Sharon Fisher of Hutchinson; daughter, Deanna Fisher-Borders and husband, Todd, of Merrifield, MN; son, Micheal Fisher of Spring Branch, TX; grandchildren, Brittany (Stephen) Hicks of Pequot Lakes, MN, Marcus Fisher of Seattle, WA, and Brooklyn (Kody) Bartels of Merrifield, MN, and Payton Fisher of Carrollton, TX; great-grandchildren, Oliver Travers, Bradley and Charlie Hicks of Pequot Lakes, MN, Poppy, Henrick, Tulla, and Milo Bartels of Merrifield, MN; brothers, Jim Fisher of Scott City, KS, Richard Fisher of Sterling, KS, and Mark Fisher of Ingalls, KS; sister, Mary (Curtis) York of Healy, KS; sisters-in-law, Cindy (Phil) Hornbeck of Partridge, KS, and Beverly (Manuel) Pacheco of Albuquerque, NM.
He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, and great-granddaughter, Isabel Hicks.
Parish Rosary will be 10:30 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2024, both at Church of the Holy Cross, 2631 Independence Road, Hutchinson. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors conducted by the United States Navy Honor Guard. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday until June 17, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice House, Hutchinson, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main St., Hutchinson, KS 67501.
