Thelma G. Beem's Obituary
Thelma G. Beem, 94, died Sept. 27, 2014, at Hospice House. She was born June 20, 1920, in Marshfield, Missouri, to William and Pearly (Tash) Bumgarner. Thelma worked at Woolworths Department Store and owned the grocery store in Plevna.
She married Ed White. She then married Harold W. Beem on Aug. 5, 1961, in Newton. He died July 20, 1998.
She is survived by: son, Eddie White and wife Sandy; daughter, Peggy Morris, both of Hutchinson, and Shirley Sikes of Riverview, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 14 great great-grandchildren.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Rosalie Leffredo, son-in-law, Michael L. Morris, and four siblings.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Pastor Don Johnson officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Reno County, or to Waldron Place, both in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
