Obituary

Theresa Rose Skinner, 72, died May 10, 2010, at Promise Regional Medical Center ER, Hutchinson.

She was born Nov. 2, 1937, in Yakima, Wash., the daughter of Wilbert Andrew and Marion Elizabeth Thompson Pruitt.

She owned Skinner Discount Center with her husband Jim.

She married Alvin Ehrlich and later married Jimmy Charles "Jim" Skinner on May 4, 1987, in Reno, Nev. He died Oct. 7, 2006.

Survivors include: son, Steve Ehrlich and wife Jackie, Woodbridge, Va.; daughter, Sherri Owston and husband Trey, Hutchinson; sister, Barbara Deckard; brother, Don "Gene" Pruitt; sisters, Betty Arlene Anderson, Mary Dick and Linda Albright, all of Hutchinson; sisters, Anita Wedel, Lyons, and Thelma Warta, Geneseo; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews, including one special niece, Cherry Albright of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2010, in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Pastor Harold E. Nelson presiding. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Reno County or the Christian Soup Ministries in care of the mortuary.
