Thomas E. “Tom” Hoffman, Sr, 79, died September 24, 2026, at Hutchinson Hospice House. He was born January 24, 1947, in Hanna, WY, to Aloysius “Al” and Isabelle J. (Beat) Hoffman.

Tom graduated from Pretty Prairie High School in 1965 and was the lead singer and talented lead guitarist for a band he put together called Marlboro Country. He was a truck driver, salesman for Wichita Welding Supply and was a delivery driver for Janitorial Supply in Hutchinson before retiring. He enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals play, had a love of classic Ford cars, music and taking his beloved Shih Tzu-Maltese dog, Susie Q on walks.

On November 11, 2023, he married Mary (Sanchez) McKibben, at Our Lady of Guadalupe in South Hutchinson, KS.

Tom is survived by his wife, Mary Hoffman, South Hutchinson; children, Tammy (Gerry) Wiens, Nickerson and Tom (Jeanette) Hoffman, Jr, South Hutchinson; step-children, Johnny D( Christina) McKibben, Augusta, and Kenneth R (Crystal) McKibben, Olathe; sisters, Trudy Heimerman, Pretty Prairie, Rita (Jim) Bay, FL; Angela (Ken) Cross; Cheney, Mary Jane (Kenny) Henderson, Pretty Prairie; grandchildren Brandon (Maia), Andrew (Lauren), Tyler, Dillion, Addison and Jaiden Hoffman; great-granddaughter, Magnolia Hoffman; Brody Miller and family whom he had a very special bond with; many nieces, nephews and extended family; and Beverly Magnuson, mother of Tammy and Tom, Jr.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Russell and Daniel Hoffman; and brother-in-law, Jim Heimerman.

Friends may sign the book daily from 9am until 5 pm. Rosary will be at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, September 30, 2026, with visitation to follow until 8 pm at Elliott Mortuary. Memorial Mass will be 10:30 am, Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 612 S. Maple, South Hutchinson, KS, with Father Eric Weldon officiating. Burial will follow at Saint Louis Cemetery in Waterloo, KS.
