Thomas Clark Mercer, 74, died March 19, 2024, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born February 6, 1950, in Durand, WI, to Clark Edward and Molly Jean (Brady) Mercer.

Thomas attended Fairfield High School. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Unites States Army. After discharge from military duty, he worked as a self- employed carpenter. When Thomas wasn't working, he was doing what he enjoyed most, and that was fishing.

Thomas is survived by: his children, Jeremy and Kim Mercer, both of Missouri; brother, Vernon Mercer of Hutchinson; sister, Donna (Craig) Branscom of Turon; 3 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, KS, with military honors conducted by the Fort Riley Honor Guard.
