SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Tim Allen Hoefer, 50, died Sept. 15, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo. He was born Jan. 2, 1963, to Carroll and Rose Hoefer in Great Bend, Kan.

He married Jacky Copeland in 1981. They later divorced.

Tim was a self-employed general contractor.

Survivors include: his parents, Carroll and Rose Hoefer of Hutchinson; daughters, Brandi Hemphill and husband Brian of Hutchinson, Ashley Hoefer of Hutchinson, Brianna Hoefer of Springfield, Mo.; brother, Steve Hoefer and wife Brenda of Hutchinson; sister, Ruthie Hoefer of Hutchinson; and grandchildren, Bryson, Dayton, Natalie, and Dylan Hemphill of Hutchinson. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ira John and Lottie May Hatten; and his maternal grandparents, Orval "Hap" and Alma Hoefer.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Jimie-Wray Mead presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
