Timothy O'Hara Fenton, 42, died May 7, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born on Aug. 10, 1964, in Newport Beach, Calif., the son of Thomas Joseph and Hannah Newburn Fenton. He was a Hutchinson resident most of his life. He graduated from Hutchinson High School, played basketball and graduated from Hutchinson Community College, attended and played basketball on an athletic scholarship at Adams State University, Alamosa, Colo., and later played basketball and attended Bethel College, North Newton. He was a painting contractor.
He belonged to and was very active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes while in high school and during his college years. He attended Temple Baptist Church.
On Aug. 4, 2002, he married Erin Havstad in Driftwood Beach, Calif. She survives.
Other survivors include: his mother, Hannah Hoefer and her husband, David, Partridge; one daughter, of the home.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Fenton.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Temple Baptist Church with Pastor Willard D. Stafford presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary. Cremation has taken place.
