KANSAS CITY - Todd Stephen Baugh, 40, died June 25, 2008, at KU Medical Center, Kansas City.

He was born April 23, 1968, in Hutchinson, son of William Edwards and Ruthe Elaine Baugh.

He was a graduate of Hutchinson H.S. in 1986.

He attended and played basketball at Cloud County Community College, received his bachelor's at Park University in Parkville, Mo., and received his Master's from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He resided in Kansas City, Mo., for the last 20 years. He was formerly of Hutchinson.

He was employed at Northwest Middle School in Kansas City. He was a special education teacher and head coach of Team Excel Girls AAU Basketball Team.

He belonged to the Methodist faith.

Survivors include: his dog, Nala Sue; father, William Edwards, Houston; brother, Ron Edwards, Leawood; sisters, Leslie Baugh, Hutchinson, and Nicole Michelle Duson; niece, Sasha Baugh, Hutchinson; nephews, Ronald Harold Edwards Jr. and Singun Todd Baugh; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. William J. Green Sr. officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Chapel. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
