Todd D. Koob, 58, of Hutchinson, died August 25, 2026, at Welsey Medical Center. He was born on September 1st, 1967, in Wichita, KS, to Jim and Diann (Sickmon) Koob.

In the spring of 1989, he met Treva Harrison in college, and they have loved each other fiercely ever since. They raised four wonderful children and enjoyed many cherished times before his death.

Todd graduated from Hutchinson Community College where he earned his associate’s degree in criminal justice. He was a 4th degree black belt in Taekwondo/ Moo Duk Kwan, originating in Hutchinson. Todd worked most recently as a correctional officer at Hutchinson Correctional Facility. His career in corrections spanned over 35 years.

Todd was a huge Notre Dame fan and loved all genres of music. He played the guitar some but mainly loved to sing. He knew the words to almost every song from his childhood; a talent he got from his father.

Todd is survived by his wife, Treva Koob of Hutchinson; children, Aaron (Morgan) of Oregon, Casey of Pratt, Samuel of Hutchinson, and Maya of Wichita; mother, Diann Hendon (husband Ray, deceased) of Alabama; father and step-mother, Jim Koob and Sarah Meeks; brother, Tom Koob (wife Gayle, deceased), niece, Aerid Koob; stepbrother, Chip (Rea Jean) Meeks, all of Derby.

Family, coworkers, and friends are invited to a celebration of life in Todd’s home Saturday, September 12th. Drop in from 3:00-5:00 pm for fellowship, light refreshments, and write in his remembrance book.

Cremation has taken place.
